In the Beginning of Creation ,God created the Heavens and the Earth. And the Divine Presence rested above the face of the waters. And God said, "Let there be light!"
I recently attended a coaching group, where the facilitator asked us all to recall the first job we imagined we might want. My mind went back to a childhood love of Jacques Cousteau and the early David Attenborough wildlife programmes. I wanted to be immersed in majesty of nature and celebrate God's remarkable creation.
A Tiny Spider, a Hoverfly and a Comma
How remarkable is the palette of Creation and how differently we perceive the world around us.
Our eyes see different forms through different lenses; are differently ranged for distance and spectra of colour.
We differ in understanding of scale, the breadth and depth of our navigable environment, the meaning of a moment and the length of a lifetime.
How many are the things You have made, O Lord; You have made them all with wisdom; the earth is full of Your creations. (Tehillim 104, 24)
When we see diversity, we should appreciate the magnificence of God's world.
Bless the Lord, all His works, through the length and breadth of His realm; bless the LORD, O my soul. (Tehillim 103, 22)
